    Prescott Valley Public Library (7401 E. Civic Cir) is presenting ‘Author Talk The Secret Life of Howard Hughes” Wed, Dec 12th @ 5:30 – 7:00 pm in the PVPL Auditorium. NE Air National Guard Maj, General (Ret.), Mark Musick dedicated over a decade to uncover a story which he never expected, nor sought to tell. Through a strange twist of fate, in which a key figure in the story entrusted him, was the answer to one of the single and biggest mysteries of the late 20th Century. You will be taken thru the story of "The Secret Life of Howard Hughes". Hear about the details of how Howard pulled the wool over the eyes of the public and lived the remainder of his years with the woman he loved. He finally met his maker in Nov 2001, a quarter of a century later than thought. An incredible true story with the ingredients of fabulous wealth, a reclusive man unable to escape his famous life, assistance from the CIA providing an alternate identify, and a loving wife who knew how to keep secrets.

In order to adjust for opening on Sundays, the library will close an hour earlier Monday through Thursday at 7 p.m. Monday-Thursday 9am-7pm Friday 9am-5pm Saturday 9am-3pm Sunday 1-5pm

    The Prescott Valley Art Guild is a non-profit organization established in 1987 to further the education, awareness and understanding of the creative arts and to promote and encourage the artistic welfare of the community. The organization holds a monthly meeting on the third Wednesday of each month except in June and December. During the meeting information is provided on upcoming art shows and other related items, members bring in art work which is judged be members, refreshments are available, a raffle of art books is held and a presentation or demonstration is provided by a local artist. The Art Guild sponsors art shows in the community periodically and displays art of members in local businesses as part of our Art Around Town project. All members are encouraged to participate in the activities of the Art Guild. Members pay a $35.00 annual membership fee.

    Prescott Valley Public Library will offer Chair Yoga on the fourth Friday of each month. Lori Wallach has been teaching yoga for over 14 years. Her love of helping individuals ease into aging is the driving force behind her yoga. She received her 200 teacher training in 2004 and her 300 training finished in 2016. Throughout her career she has taught all kinds of yoga, from power yoga to meditation. Now, she has settled into teaching modified yoga that meets the needs of the individual and chair yoga. Chair yoga allows you to keep doing yoga regardless of your ability. The chair can also be used as a prop to help getting into the poses a little easier. Not to mention there is no getting up and down from the floor worry. Yoga will help you keep and build your strength, flexibility and balance. 4th Fridays 11am-12pm Crystal Room No signed up required
